Liakat Ali, born on June 1, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2000 batch, West Bengal cadre. During his service, he held multiple positions including Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Minister. His most recent role was Additional Secretary in the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services, serving from January 1, 2014, to May 31, 2016. Ali’s career reflects his commitment to public administration within the Indian government.
