Lalrin Liana Fanai, born on 24 May 1970, is a 1997 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.A. degree and is proficient in Hindi and Mizo. Currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department since 18 August 2023, Fanai has held various positions including Secretary on Inter Cadre Deputation, Commissioner and Secretary, Director, Additional Secretary to Governor, Managing Director, District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, Joint Magistrate, and Assistant Collector. He continues to serve in the IAS with extensive administrative experience across multiple roles.
