Lalit Varma, born on March 1, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Economics, a Diploma in English, and an M.B.B.S. in Medicine. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Commissioner, Special Secretary, Vice Chairperson, District Magistrate, District Collector, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Project Director, Sub Divisional Magistrate, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was as a Member in the Finance Department at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from August 27, 2010, to February 28, 2019.
