Lalit Jain, born on 19 March 1983, is a 2011 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Director at Haryana-Chandigarh in the Citizen Operation/Census Operation Department since 6 December 2023. He holds an M.B.A. in Administrative Law from Himachal Pradesh University, a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from Panjab University, and an LL.B. from Punjab University. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Director, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Registrar, Special Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, SDO, and Assistant Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
