L N S Mukundan, born on May 8, 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1963 Gujarat cadre. A graduate in Physics, he served in various capacities including District Development Officer, Assistant Collector, Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary Equivalent. He also held leadership roles such as Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Chairman & Managing Director, and Additional Chief Secretary. Mukundan's most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat from May 1, 1997, to May 31, 2001. His extensive career reflects diverse administrative experience within the Gujarat state government.
