L K Atheeq, born on January 14, 1965, is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and an M.A. from Syracuse University. Currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister at Bengaluru since November 27, 2023, he has held various key positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government and Chief Minister, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner. Fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Urdu, L K Atheeq continues his service in the Indian Administrative Service with extensive administrative experience across multiple roles.
