Kunwar Fateh Bahadur, born on April 3, 1957, is a retired IAS officer from the 1981 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served in the Home Department, most recently as Principal Secretary from May 20, 2009, to April 30, 2017. His educational background includes a Graduate degree in Law, a Postgraduate degree in Political Science, and a Graduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Principal Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary, Transport Commissioner, Vice Chairperson, District Magistrate, Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director, and Executive Magistrate.
