Kundan Kumar, born on 28 July 1975, is a 2004-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds an M.B.L. in Contract and Taxation Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and a B.A. in History. Currently, he serves as Secretary at Bihar’s Industries Department since 30 November 2025. His past roles include Mission Director, Sub-Divisional Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, and Commissioner, among others. He has received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2013-14), the National Award for Best Electoral Practices, and the Bihar State Road Development Corporation Award. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
