Kumud Bansal, born on April 30, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1969 Maharashtra cadre. She holds a graduate degree in History and a postgraduate degree in English. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, CEO, Joint Educational Adviser, Director, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Collector, Special Officer, and Assistant Collector. Her most recent designation was Secretary in the Human Resources Department of Maharashtra. Kumud Bansal’s extensive service reflects her long-standing commitment to administrative roles within the state government.
