Kumar L, born on 24 September 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2012 batch, serving in the A G M U T cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Currently, he is the Secretary of the Social Welfare, Education, Sports, Labor and Employment Department in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a position he assumed on 8 January 2024. Previously, he served as Commissioner. Kumar received a Commendation Certificate on Civil Services Day in 2018. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
