Krishna Gupta, born on 22 June 1966, is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary in the Co-operation Department since 7 March 2026. He holds an M.Phil., M.A., and Ph.D. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Resident Commissioner, Additional Director, Officer on Special Duty, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Counsellor, Director, Commissioner, State Project Director, Joint Resident Commissioner, District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Under Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Additional District Magistrate, and Sub Divisional Officer. He received the Dissertation Improvement Award from the National Science Foundation in 1999 and an award for participating
