Krishan Kumar, born on 25 February 1969, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and an M.A. from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary in the Water Resources Department, Punjab, since 9 April 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Secretary, Joint Secretary, Chairman, Director, Special Secretary & D.G., Chief Administrator, Deputy Commissioner, and Financial Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
