He holds a B.Tech degree and has served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). Currently, he is the Municipal Commissioner at Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation, Bihar, a position he has held since January 12, 2026. Kishlay Kushwaha continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
