Additional Chief Secretary, Fire and Emergency Services, West Bengal
Khalil Ahmed, born on 16 November 1966, is a 1995 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree from IGNOU Delhi. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Fire and Emergency Services department of West Bengal since 2 April 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions including Principal Secretary, Municipal Commissioner, Special Secretary, Director, Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, and Officer on Special Duty to Minister. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Urdu and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
