Kavita Gupta, an IAS officer of the 1985 Maharashtra cadre, served as Textile Commissioner in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She holds an M.S. in Physics and an M.Tech. in Behavioral Science from IIT Delhi, and a postgraduate degree in International Law from the World Trade Institute, Berne. Her extensive career includes roles such as Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Deputy Commissioner, Project Director, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, CEO, and Assistant Collector. She received commendation letters for excellence in project formulation and women’s CHG initiatives under MRCP and graduated Summa Cum Laude from her master’s program.
