Kanhaiya Lal Meena, born on May 6, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served as Secretary in the Department of Planning and Programme Implementation from July 30, 2008, to May 31, 2012. His educational background includes a graduate degree and postgraduate studies in Botany, along with a Diploma in Forestry. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Director General, Sugarcane Commissioner, Managing Director, Special Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Executive Magistrate.
