Kamran Rizvi, an IAS officer of the 1991 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre, was born on 24/10/1966. He holds a B.Tech. in Mech. Engg. from IIT Delhi and an M.Tech. in Design Engineering from the same institute. Rizvi served as Secretary at the Department of Heavy Industry. Fluent in English and Hindi, he has excelled in his career within the civil services.
