K. Vivekanandan, born on June 5, 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2006 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.E. and an M.B.A. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Commissioner, Secretary, Commissioner of Higher and Technical Education, Director, and District Collector. Currently, he is serving as the Commissioner in the Department of Handlooms at Chennai, a position he assumed on May 16, 2023. Mr. Vivekanandan continues to contribute to public administration within the Tamil Nadu cadre.
