K V Prasad, born on April 6, 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Bihar cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Sales Tax Officer. His most recent position was Under Secretary, held from June 1, 1996, to October 8, 2003.
