A graduate in Physics, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Development Officer, Assistant Collector, Director, Administrator, Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Chief Secretary to the Government. His most recent position was Commissioner at Gujarat from August 1, 1993, within the General Administration Department (Personnel). Throughout his career, he held multiple commissioner roles and contributed extensively to the Gujarat administration before retiring from service.
