K Sunitha, an IAS officer of the 1996 batch from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, was born on January 15, 1967. She holds an LL.B. and an M.A. from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Currently, she serves as the Principal Secretary in the Economically Weaker Sections Welfare department of Andhra Pradesh since June 5, 2025. Throughout her career, she has held various positions including Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Executive Director, Commissioner, Mission Director, Collector & District Magistrate, Director, Managing Director, and Deputy Commissioner.
