K Skandan, born on December 8, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Rural Development, along with an LL.B. in Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Chairman, Commissioner, and Director. His most recent position was Principal Secretary and Commissioner in the Tourism Department from January 30, 2014, to May 27, 2016. His extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership roles within the Tamil Nadu government.
