K Satyagopal, a 1987 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, was born on September 7, 1959. He holds a graduate degree in Zoology, a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Science, and a PhD in Zoology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, and Chairman and Managing Director. His most recent role was Director General Joint Secretary in Hyderabad, Telangana, from July 2010 to September 2019. He retired from the Indian Administrative Service while associated with the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.
