K S Pannu, a 1996 batch IAS officer from the Punjab cadre, served in various capacities including Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Deputy Secretary. He was the Managing Director of the Agro Industries Development Corporation from October 2013 to August 2020. A graduate by education, Pannu received multiple awards such as the Award for Excellence in Implementation of Scheme under NREGA, Award of Excellence for Best Agriculture Practices, Gold Medal for promoting Dairy Farming, and the Sh. Vijay Sethi Award for Best Officer of the Cooperative Department. He is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
