K Rajeshwar Rao, born on July 1, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Tripura cadre. He holds an M.A. in Sociology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism, and a graduate degree in Botany. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Project Director, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Commissioner & Secretary, Adviser, Managing Director, Additional Commissioner, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, and Secretary to the Chief Minister. His most recent position was Special Secretary at NITI Aayog from April 6, 2021, to June 30, 2022.
