K R Niranjan, born on 26 July 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 batch of the Karnataka cadre. Throughout his career, he held multiple key positions including Secretary, Commissioner, Special Commissioner, Director, Inspector General, and Deputy Commissioner. His most recent role was Special Commissioner at Bangalore, Karnataka, serving from 3 March 2014 to 31 July 2014. He was associated with the Public Elections Department during his service.
