Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Under Secretary, District Revenue Officer, District Supply Officer, Special Deputy Collector, Revenue Divisional Officer, Joint Collector, and Special Collector from 1 July 1988 to 1 May 1989. His most recent assignment was with the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. Rao’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative roles within the Andhra Pradesh government during his tenure in the IAS.
