K P Ramaiah, born on 15 July 1954, is a retired IAS officer from the 1986 Bihar cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History and a postgraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, and Managing Director. His most recent designation was Commissioner from January 2013 to July 2014. He also served as Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Ramaiah’s extensive administrative experience spans roles such as Executive Director, Additional Secretary, and Officer on Special Duty to Minister.
