K P Krishnan, born on 29 December 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Karnataka cadre. He served as Secretary in the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship from February 2017 to December 2019. His extensive career includes roles such as Officer on Special Duty Secretary Equivalent, Special Secretary Equivalent, Additional Secretary and Director General, Principal Secretary, Resident Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner, among others. Krishnan holds a postgraduate degree in Economics, an MBA in Business Administration, and a PhD in Economics.
