K N Venkataramanan, born on April 13, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in English Literature. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Joint Commissioner, Commissioner, Managing Director, Project Director, Revenue Divisional Officer, Comptroller, and Authorised Officer. His most recent position was Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister in the Chief Minister's Secretariat from May 16, 2011, to April 30, 2012. He retired from service after a distinguished tenure in the Tamil Nadu administration.
