K Gnanadesikan, born on April 16, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Social Sciences and a B.E. in Electronics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Chairman and Managing Director. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Industries Department, commencing on January 8, 2018. Gnanadesikan’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Tamil Nadu government until his retirement.
