K George Joseph, born on March 7, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1972 Gujarat cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in English and an MBA in Public Administration from the UK. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Chairman, Managing Director, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Development Officer, Additional Commissioner, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was President of the Gujarat Civil Services Tribunal in Gandhinagar from September 30, 2008, to March 31, 2009.
