K Ganesan, born on April 13, 1955, is a retired IAS officer from the 1981 Tamil Nadu cadre. He served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, Executive Director, Additional Secretary, District Collector, Joint Secretary, Director, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Collector, Under Secretary, and Assistant Collector. He holds a graduate degree in Chemistry, an LL.M. in Law, and a Certificate in German. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd., from February 18, 2014, to April 30, 2015.
