K Elangovan, born on 27 November 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Commissioner, Additional Secretary, Managing Director, and Director. His extensive experience spans roles such as Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Secretary, General Manager, Special Officer, and Revenue Divisional Officer. Most recently, he was Vice Chairman of the Transport Department from 20 July 2004 to 30 November 2004. His service reflects a broad administrative portfolio within the Tamil Nadu government.
