K D Nimbalkar, an IAS officer of the 2003 Maharashtra cadre batch, was born on September 20, 1961. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agriculture from Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri, Dist Ahmadnagar. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, District Collector, Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Commissioner, and Junior Scale. His most recent position was Member Secretary at Mumbai, Maharashtra, in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, starting January 29, 2021. He has been recognized with an award for outstanding zeal and high quality of service rendered. He is now retired from service.
