K Baskaran, born on April 13, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2006 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a PhD in Rural Social Development from SASTRA University, Tamil Nadu. During his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Director. His most recent position was Commissioner in the Department of Municipal Administration, from September 25, 2019, to April 30, 2022.
