Joshi Ajit Balaji, born on January 1, 1979, is a 2003 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and is currently serving as the Administrative Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department since March 3, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Secretary, Director General, Chief Executive Officer, Excise Commissioner & Secretary, Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner. He has been honored with the Prime Minister's Award for Education for the Underprivileged Children and the Distinguished Service Award in 2008. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
