Jiwesh Nandan, born on 30 October 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Defence Department from 6 April 2021 to 31 October 2021. Nandan's extensive experience spans roles such as Secretary Director, National Coordinator Director, and Chief Executive Officer, reflecting a diverse administrative tenure within the Indian government.
