Jayant Kumar Banthia, born on June 1, 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1977 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Zoology and a postgraduate degree in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Chief Technical Adviser, Managing Director, OSD to Minister, Registrar General Joint, Director of Census Operations, District Collector, CEO, Additional Collector, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra.
