Jatindra Nath Swain, born on July 1, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in Economics from Delhi University. Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Commissioner, Director, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department from April 30, 2021, to June 30, 2023. Swain's extensive administrative experience spans multiple roles at different levels within the Tamil Nadu government.
