Janardan Prasad, born on February 2, 1936, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in English, as well as a graduate degree in Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Magistrate, Deputy Director, General Manager, Additional District Magistrate, Additional Commissioner, Joint Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, and Special Secretary. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Transport Department from July 1, 1992, to February 1, 1994.
