Jamjam Syamala Rao, born on 22 May 1967, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech degree and is currently serving as the Principal Secretary (Political) in the General Administration Department of Andhra Pradesh since 8 September 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Sub-Divisional Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Additional Secretary, Project Director, Executive Officer, and Managing Director. He is proficient in English and Telugu and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
