He held the position of Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi from January 2019 to September 2020. His educational qualifications include B.Sc. (Hons) in Botany, Intermediate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Accountancy, and Company Secretary in Company Law. He retired from the Indian Administrative Service after a distinguished career. He received awards for election management, notably for increasing voter enrollment and facilitating voter education in Madhya Pradesh.
