Jaideep Govind, a 1984 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, served in various capacities including District Collector and District Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Commissioner. He was Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi from January 2019 to September 2020. His educational qualifications include B.Sc.(Hons) in Botany, Intermediate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Accountancy, and Company Secretary in Company Law. He received awards for election management, specifically for increasing voter enrolment and turnout, and for voter education and facilitation in Madhya Pradesh. He is now retired.
