Jai Prakash Shivahare, born on 05 July 1974, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2002 Gujarat cadre. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Australian National University, Canberra, and a B.A. in Psychology. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, New Delhi, since November 2025. His previous roles include Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Special Commissioner, District Collector, District Development Officer, and Assistant Collector. He has been honored with the Best District Development Officer Award by the Government of Gujarat. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
