Jagdish Prasad Meena, born on 20 May 1971, is a 2004 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree from IIT Kanpur. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department, West Bengal, a position he assumed on 17 March 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Assistant Collector, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, and multiple Secretary positions. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
