Jagdish Chandra Mohanty, a 1985 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, served in various administrative capacities throughout his career. Born on October 1, 1958, he holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Political Science. His roles included District Collector and District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Inspector General (Registration), Director, Project Director, Deputy Secretary, Additional Collector, and SDO. He was appointed Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from May 8, 2012. Mr. Mohanty is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
