J V Chandraskran, born on 14 July 1936, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Geography, a diploma in Planning, and a graduate degree in Geography. Throughout his career, he served in the Urban Development department, holding various positions including Deputy Secretary, Deputy Director, Joint Director, Additional Director, and Director. He was Director of Urban Development from 1 June 1990 to 1 July 1994.
