J Sonal, born on 25 December 1989, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2018 batch, assigned to the Odisha cadre. He holds an M.A. in Human Resource Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner at Berhampur Municipal Corporation, a position he has held since 16 June 2022. J Sonal continues to be in active service within the Indian Administrative Service.
