J S Deepak, born on 16 July 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree and M.Sc. in Physics, along with a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Sub Divisional Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, and Secretary in multiple departments. His most recent position was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India from June 2017 to May 2020. He also worked extensively in the Industries and Commerce Department.
