Joint Secretary, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department
J S Ahluwalia, born on February 5, 1935, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Punjab cadre. He served in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, holding the position of Joint Secretary from July 1, 1992, to February 1, 1993. His career included roles such as Director, Secretary, Managing Director, and Deputy Secretary. Ahluwalia holds a graduate degree in English, a postgraduate degree in English, and a Ph.D. in English Literature. Throughout his service, he contributed to various administrative capacities before retiring from the IAS.
